First Days
The 2026-2027 school year begins for students as follows:
- Monday, Aug. 24: First day for K-12 students
- Thursday, Aug. 27: First day for pre-K/RECC students
Back to School Messages
Student Schedules
All students and parents/guardians can log in to HCPSS Connect Synergy to view schedules including courses, teachers, and room numbers. After logging in, select Class Schedule from the left menu.
Transportation
The online HCPSS bus stop locator is now available. Eligible families can access bus stop locations, and pickup/dropoff times. This information also is available in Synergy by selecting More Options from the left menu and then clicking the Homeroom/Transportation/POS button.
For urgent matters, such as a late or missing bus, please call HCPSS Transportation at 410-313-6732. For all other bus issues, contact your applicable bus area manager.
Review / Update Your Family File Today
HCPSS utilizes Family File to collect emergency contact information for students. Parents/guardians must verify and/or update information for each child, each school year.
Parents/guardians access and complete Family File by logging in to HCPSS Connect, selecting the Online Registration/Family File at the top right of the page and then selecting Family File Verification.
New Student Orientations & Back to School Nights
School orientations for new students and back to school nights for all families are scheduled by schools. Dates and times for these programs are available online and additionally are communicated by schools.
Please note! All dates/times are subject to change. Please check with your child’s school prior to the event to verify program details.
