First Day of School
The 2026-2027 school year begins for students as follows:
- Monday, Aug. 24: First day for K-12 students
- Thursday, Aug. 27: First day for pre-K/RECC students
Student Schedules
From Aug. 7-14, high school students and their parents/guardians can log in to HCPSS Connect Synergy to view a list of scheduled courses only without details (no teachers or periods).
Beginning Aug. 19, all students and parents/guardians can log in to HCPSS Connect Synergy to view schedules including courses, teachers, and room numbers. After logging in, select Class Schedule from the left menu.
Transportation
The online HCPSS bus stop locator is scheduled to be available Wednesday, Aug. 19. At that time, eligible families can access bus stop locations, and pickup/dropoff times.
Review / Update Your Family File Today
HCPSS utilizes Family File to collect emergency contact information for students. Parents/guardians must verify and/or update information for each child, each school year.
Parents/guardians access and complete Family File by logging in to HCPSS Connect, selecting the Online Registration/Family File at the top right of the page and then selecting Family File Verification.
New Student Orientations & Back to School Nights
School orientations for new students and back to school nights for all families are scheduled by schools. Dates and times for these programs are available online and additionally are communicated by schools.
