A partnership between HCPSS and Howard Community College to expand options for students to gain college credits, explore possible careers, or earn an associate degree.

Career Academies

Career Academy programs are designed to prepare high school students to be college and career ready and to meet the demands of the 21st century global economy and are closely aligned with regional economic and work-force development priorities.

Earn College Credit

Career Academy students are eligible to earn college credits, advanced standing, and/or satisfy college requirements while in high school.

Participate in the Arts

Whether it is dance, art, theatre, chorus, orchestra, or band, bring your unique talents, gifts, and inspiration to the gallery and stage.

Make Your Voice Heard

HCASC

HCASC invites all middle and high school students interested in leadership with a purpose to participate in our unique student-run monthly meetings the second Wednesday of every month.

StoryStrong

StoryStrong taps into the power of personal narrative featuring Howard County students and staff in order to build awareness, empathy, understanding, and ultimately – connections. Diversity of ideas, diversity of backgrounds and experiences, and diversity of purpose and drive are common themes amplified across the HCPSS community.
