2024-2025 Calendar Updates
→ Monday, March 31 now a full school day (previously closed for students)
→ Monday, June 9–Friday June 13, now full school days (previously June 9-11 early dismissals and last day)
→ Monday, June 16-Wednesday, June 18, now early dismissals and last day of school

Additional & Non-Academic Calendars
Elementary school related arts operate on a rotating schedule with a color-coded calendar that varies for classrooms. Please check with your child’s homeroom teacher for that calendar and what their color codes are.
Several non-academic calendars are available for students and families, including:

- Fine Arts Performance Schedules
- Special Education Parent and Guardian Calendar
School-specific calendars can be found on each school’s website.
Emergency Closings
The HCPSS calendar may be adjusted in cases of emergencies, including inclement weather.
Please Note: This is for informational purposes only. The last day of school, including the use of inclement weather days, will be communicated toward the end of each school year.
2024-2025 Emergency Closings
- Friday, Jan. 3, 2025 – Schools dismiss 90-minutes early; afternoon/evening activities canceled
- Monday, Jan. 6, 2025 – Schools and offices closed
- Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025 – Schools and offices closed
- Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025 – Schools closed
- Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 – Saturday activities canceled; buildings closed
- Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025 – Sunday activities canceled; buildings closed
- Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025 – Schools and offices closed
- Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025 – Schools open two hours late
- Thursday, Feb. 5, 2025 – Schools closed
- Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 – Effective at noon, activities canceled; buildings closed
- Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025 – Schools dismiss three hours early; afternoon/evening activities canceled
- Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025 – Schools and offices closed
Graduations
Class of 2025
Graduation ceremony dates for the Class of 2025 will be announced in the spring of 2025.
Previous Commencement Ceremony Dates
- Class of 2024: May 23-31 (no ceremonies May 27, Memorial Day)
- Class of 2023: May 24-June 1 (no ceremonies held May 26-29)
- Class of 2022: May 26-June 3 (no ceremonies held Memorial Day)
- Class of 2021: May 28-June 4 (no ceremonies held Memorial Day)
