Continuing Professional Development

The Office of Teacher and Paraprofessional Development systemically coordinates high quality professional learning experiences through the Continuing Professional Development Program. Online registration for CPD courses is available through the Frontline Professional Growth Activities Management System.

HCPSS Employees

Course Selections, Details & Registration

Spring 2020 CPD registration is now open. The course catalog is available online.

Staff now will register via the Frontline Professional Growth Management System. For support accessing and using Frontline for registering or dropping courses, current staff may join the Frontline Professional Growth Activities Management Canvas Community and review the Homepage and User Resources. School-based staff should reach out to their Teacher Development Liaison for support as needed.

Once registration is completed, submit payment. Course fees are due prior to the commencement of the first class. Course credit will not be awarded if payment is not received. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses can now be paid for by credit/debit card using the Online School Payments system or payroll deduction. To purchase courses via credit/debit card, refer to the OSP User Guide for directions. A processing fee applies. Checks will no longer be accepted.

HCPSS Graduate and Continuing Education Cohort Programs

The University Partnerships Program works to develop and sustain high quality school leaders by coordinating a variety of higher education opportunities that may be offered in a cohort format. Programs are aligned with system goals and offered at reduced rates at convenient off-campus locations.

Non-HCPSS Employees

Spring 2020 CPD registration is now open. The course catalog is available online.

To request registration in the Howard County Public School System’s Spring 2020 Courses, complete the Non-HCPSS Employee CPD online registration form.

Once completed, pay the course fee of $80 per credit. Course fees are due prior to the commencement of the first class. Course credit will not be awarded if payment is not received. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses can now be paid for by credit/debit card using the Online School Payments system. To purchase courses via credit/debit card, refer to the OSP Quick Reference Card for Non-Employees for directions. A processing fee applies. Checks will no longer be accepted.

Prior to the start of the course, your instructor will contact you and provide a link to the course.
