Contact your child’s Instructional Technology teacher or Library Media specialist with any questions.
Google Earth
Grades 6-12: An authorized Supplementary Digital Tool that renders a 3D representation of Earth based primarily on satellite imagery. The program maps the Earth by superimposing satellite images, aerial photography, and GIS data onto a 3D globe, allowing users to see cities and landscapes from various angles. Teachers may use it in instruction with Digital Tours of various locations around the world.
Google Translate
Grades 4-12: An authorized Supplementary Digital Tool that offers free service to instantly translate words, phrases, and web pages between English and more than 100 other languages. Students will be informed when this service is allowable for use.
CS First
Grades 4-5: An authorized Supplementary Digital Tool for creating interactive stories, games, and animations using a programming language called Scratch during the Computational Thinker unit.
YouTube
Grades 6-12: Please note, if consent is not provided, students will still be able to watch YouTube videos embedded in teacher resources on Canvas. Parent/guardian consent is for students’ direct access to the YouTube website.
Parents/guardians who previously provided consent for Google’s menu of additional services do not need to do anything further.
