Supported Students
- Students currently in 5th – 8th grade
- Students seeking a Maryland high school diploma receiving special education services
- Students participating in the Alternate Framework with limited instruction hours outside of the general education classroom
- Students with ESY goals and objectives focus on social skills, social pragmatics, social interaction and other related goal areas
Services Provided
Students identified for ESY services in the SOAR program will be provided with the services identified within an IEP team meeting for ESY. Students in the SOAR program programs have ESY goals, objectives and services primarily focused on the following areas:- Special education & related services focus on reinforcing social skills
- Special education & related services in academic skills, if needed.
- Special education transportation is required unless the parent/guardian provides transportation
- Note: Students with changes to the pick-up and drop-off address after May 9, 2025 cannot be guaranteed service for the beginning of the program.
- Depending on site location, students will be provided with either a snack or meals
