Child Find is the service that the State of Maryland has established to locate, identify, and evaluate children with disabilities. It is available at no cost to families.
To initiate Child Find services, please find the category that best describes your child and follow the instructions for that category.

Children Birth to 2
Follow the instructions for the Infants and Toddlers Program.
Children Ages 3 to 5
(prior to kindergarten)
If you suspect your child, aged 3-5, may have a developmental, social, or emotional delay that could impact their education, please fill out the Child Find Referral Form to refer them for evaluation by our Child Find Team.

The Preschool Child Find Team is an interdisciplinary team that provides identification services to children from three to five years of age who may have a disability including developmental delay. The team includes an educational diagnostician, a speech-language pathologist, a psychologist, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, an audiologist, and a nurse. Parents are important members of the team and are included in each IEP team meeting.
