Medical: Aetna Open Choice PPO
Aetna Open Choice PPO is one of three medical plans HCPSS offers to benefits-eligible employees.
With Aetna Open Choice PPO, you can receive care within the network to pay less, or choose out-of-network care and still receive benefits—though at a higher cost. No referrals are required. Aetna’s nationwide Open Choice PPO network includes over 934,000 providers, including 159,100 primary care providers, making it easy to find a doctor or hospital wherever you are—at home, work, or traveling.
- Employees receiving GLP-1 medications for diabetes treatment will not be impacted by this change in coverage.
- Those who currently use a GLP-1 medication for weight management are encouraged to utilize the time before March 31, 2026, to discuss treatment options with their provider.
- With this change in coverage, the CVS Weight Management Program, which was previously announced with the goal of reducing GLP-1-related benefits costs, will no longer be in place.
