Accounting Academy

Do you love numbers? Do you enjoy analyzing facts and figures?

The Accounting Academy is designed for students interested in expanding their understanding and skills related to accounting and financial management. Students will have the opportunity to study and apply fundamental accounting principles in a variety of business settings. In addition, students will work in a lab setting using current accounting software. Students will connect with professionals in the local accounting community and participate in activities created exclusively for academy members.

  • Principles of Marketing - Honors
  • Advanced Business Management - Honors

Prerequisites

Completion of Algebra I prior to enrollment in academy coursework is highly recommended.

College Credit

Students who successfully complete Principles of Business Management - GT and who opt in to complete it as a dual enrollment course may earn credits at Howard Community College (HCC).

Successful Academy Students:

  • Maintain a C average in all academy coursework.
