[ A toddler is learning to sweep up the mess with help from his father and older sister. The father and toddler are handling the broom. The older sister is handling the dustpan. ]
( Father ) Hey, Caleb. We got to sweep up the floor. Come here, bud. Here we go. I’m going to sweep up the crumbs. Can you hold the dustpan?
( Older Sister ) I’ll help him lift the dustpan.
( Father ) Your sister’s gonna help you. We’re going to sweep up a little pile of crumbs, and then you can hold that and I’ll sweep it in, and then I’ll let you use the broom afterwards, okay?
[ The father demonstrates the sweeping motion with broom. ]
( Father ) Here, just sweep up some. See, look at all these little pieces? We’re going to sweep them into the dustpan. Okay, can you put the dustpan right here and hold it down on the floor real still? There you go. I’m going to sweep right into it. Look, here it goes. Awesome. You’re doing good, keeping it really still. Okay, we’re going to go dump them in the trash can now, okay.
[ The toddler helps the sister dump the dustpan crumbs into the trashcan. ]
( Toddler ) Yeah, okay.
( Father ) Okay, step on the lid. There you go and dump them in. Very good. Okay. Do you want a turn with the broom?
[ The toddler holds the broom and makes the sweeping motion. ]
( Toddler ) Yeah.
( Father ) Okay. Now try sweep it up. Good job. You’re such a big helper, Caleb. There you go. Awesome. You sweep over here, by the sink over here. Now sweep over here. Very good. That’s great, okay. It already looks a lot better. All the crumbs are gone.
