Do you have a passion for applying logical reasoning to problem solving? Do you have a desire to work on cutting - edge technologies? Want to use your creativity to develop innovative solutions?
The Computer Science Academy is designed for students who have experience with computer programming and have an interest in expanding their understanding and skills of computer science concepts. The Computer Science Academy begins with Advanced Placement Computer Science A (AP CSA). This College Board certified course utilizes the Java programming language and is designed to be equivalent in scope to an introductory college-level computer science course. The second course in the sequence requires the student to examine advanced data structures associated with object-oriented programming design techniques. In the third, and final course, of the sequence students will study advanced topics being pursued by contemporary computer science researchers. Students will use the knowledge and skills developed through programming and algorithm design and analysis to perform hands-on project-driven exploration of advanced topics.
