By 2029, HCPSS will increase the number of options for work-based learning opportunities including apprenticeships, internships, mentorships, and other connections to careers.

HCPSS will increase work-based learning opportunities in a range of fields to meet all students’ interests. HCPSS will report on student participation in work-based learning opportunities and ensure that participation reflects all students.

HCPSS believes that providing students with exposure to a variety of career options will help them gain a better idea of potential careers they may want to pursue in the future.
How were targets set?
Apprenticeship participation targets were set to increase participation by 5% each year. Targets for other work-based options will be set after a centralized database is established.
