Position Overview
Jump into the heart of Human Resources as an HR Specialist Apprentice! In this role, you’ll immerse yourself in key HR functions such as recruiting, benefits administration, and payroll, while gaining valuable insights into employee relations. Working alongside experienced HR professionals, you’ll develop a well-rounded understanding of HR processes and contribute to the smooth operation of the department. - Recruitment Assistance: Support the recruitment process by screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and learning how to assess job applicants.
- Benefits Coordination: Help manage employee benefits programs, assist in addressing questions, and ensure smooth handling of compensation and perks.
- Payroll Processing: Get hands-on experience in payroll, ensuring employees are compensated accurately and on time while learning about payroll systems.
- Employee Support: Assist in addressing employee inquiries, resolve HR-related concerns, and help maintain a positive workplace environment.
- HR Administration: Contribute to day-to-day HR tasks such as record-keeping, enforcing policies, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
The Essentials for Entry
- Must be in Senior year of high school
- Submit Application
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have 4 credits available in schedule for Apprenticeship courses, (ex. schedule: 1-4A or 4B, 5, & 6)
- Class schedule not to exceed 3 credits including required English and Math to graduate
Your Apprenticeship Action Plan
- Interview with employer
- Receive & Accept Employment Offer
- Complete On-the-job-Training (20+ hrs a week minimum)
- Complete Related Instruction (4+ hrs a week)

Note: Completion of this apprenticeship program will earn you 3 credits for on-the-job training and 1 credit for related instruction, contributing to your graduation requirements.
