- Office Assistant - Type, file, maintain records, answer phones and operate business equipment such as word processors and personal computers.
- Computer Aide - Operate data processing equipment, often using the most sophisticated and up-to-date technology to support operations and ensure smooth functionality.
- Language Analyst - Work directly with written and spoken language (e.g., Chinese), assist in research, analysis, and contextualization, and contribute to translation and language-based projects.
- Printing/Graphic Arts - Use design software to create agency brochures, pamphlets, and other printed materials, ensuring visually appealing and effective communication tools.
- Facilities Technician - Assist with the maintenance, repair, and organization of facilities, including handling basic equipment, ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of physical spaces, and supporting the overall operations of a facility.
Qualifications for NSA
- Must be eligible to be granted a security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- An unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher is preferred.
- Must have an interest and aptitude in business computing and office technology, or Chinese language.
- Must be a high school junior enrolled in either business, technical computer classes, printing/graphic arts or manufacturing classes, or Chinese language classes with plans to participate in a school-sponsored work experience program throughout your senior year.
- Must be 16 years of age by December 31st of your junior year.
- Must have reliable transportation for getting to and from work.
The Essentials for Entry
- MUST APPLY BY OCTOBER OF JUNIOR YEAR
- Must be in Senior year of high school

- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have 4 credits available in schedule for Apprenticeship courses, (ex. schedule: 1-4A or 4B, 5, & 6)
- Class schedule not to exceed 3 credits including required English and Math to graduate
Your Apprenticeship Action Plan
- Interview with NSA
- Receive and Accept Employment Offer with NSA
- Complete On-Boarding Tasks
- Complete On-the-job-Training (20+ hrs a week minimum)
- Complete Related Instruction (4+ hrs a week)

Note: Completion of this apprenticeship program will earn you 3 credits for on-the-job training and 1 credit for related instruction, contributing to your graduation requirements.
