Position Overview
Are you passionate about the fast-paced world of hospitality and looking to build a career in restaurant management? As a Restaurant Management Apprentice, you’ll gain practical knowledge in daily operations, team leadership, and customer service, all while working alongside experienced managers. You’ll learn the ins and outs of running a successful restaurant, from handling customer interactions to managing staff and overseeing the financial health of the business. **Your role will include:**
- Operations Management: Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and efficient workflows.
- Team Leadership: Learn to manage and lead restaurant staff, including scheduling, training, and team coordination.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional customer experiences by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Financial Oversight: Gain insights into the financial aspects of restaurant management, including budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
The Essentials for Entry
- Must be in Senior year of high school
- Submit HCPSS application
- Must have Must have reliable transportation
- Must have 4 credits available in schedule for Apprenticeship courses, (ex. schedule: 1-4A or 4B, 5, & 6)
- Class schedule not to exceed 3 credits including required English and Math to graduate
Your Apprenticeship Action Plan
- Interview with Employer
- Receive & Accept Employment Offer
- Complete On-Boarding
- Complete On-the-job-Training (20+ hrs a week minimum)
- Complete Related Instruction (4+ hrs a week)
- Complete year 1 of 2 year program

Note: Completion of this apprenticeship program will earn you 3 credits for on-the-job training and 1 credit for related instruction, contributing to your graduation requirements.
