Summer Work
Students may have an opportunity to begin working in the summer between their junior and senior year.
Apprenticeship Maryland Program
During My Apprenticeship Program – Year 1 (H3) School to Apprentice
- Work part-time 5 afternoons per week
- Complete a minimum of 450 hours of On-the-Job Training (OJT)
- Complete One Year of Related Instruction (RI)
- Complete HCPSS graduation requirements (Math and English)
Graduation
Apprenticeship Continues
Year 2
- Participate in Year 2 of the program
- Full-time Employment with 750 hours of On-the-Job Training
Program Complete
Licensed Barber
- $34,500–$72,790**
- The Maryland Board of Barbers License
- 1,500 hours of OJT completed
