Position Overview
Step into the dynamic world of sheet metal work as a Sheet Metal Apprentice! In this role, you’ll work alongside skilled professionals, gaining practical experience in fabricating and installing sheet metal products used in construction and manufacturing. You’ll learn valuable skills, from handling tools and materials to cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components. **Here’s a look into what you’ll be working on:**
- Fabrication & Installation: Assist in the fabrication, cutting, and installation of sheet metal products used in various structural projects.
- Loading & Stacking: Help load, stack, and transport tools, dies, and work materials by hand or truck to keep the workflow smooth and organized.
- Tool Operation: Learn to safely and efficiently operate tools and machinery needed for sheet metal work, ensuring precision and accuracy in every task.
- Project Assistance: Support the team in assembling sheet metal products, ensuring quality and compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
The Essentials for Entry
- Must be in Senior year of high school
- Complete OSHA 10 Training
- Submit Application
- Driver’s License Required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have 4 credits available in schedule for Apprenticeship courses, (ex. schedule: 1-4A or 4B, 5, & 6)
- Class schedule not to exceed 3 credits including required English and Math to graduate
Your Apprenticeship Action Plan
- Interview with Pro Air, Inc.
- Receive & Accept Employment Offer
- Complete On-Boarding
- Complete On-the-job-Training (20+ hrs a week minimum)
- Complete Related Instruction (4+ hrs a week)
- Complete year 1 of 4 year program

Note: Completion of this apprenticeship program will earn you 3 credits for on-the-job training and 1 credit for related instruction, contributing to your graduation requirements.
