Summer Work

Students may have an opportunity to begin working in the summer between their junior and senior year.

Apprenticeship Maryland Program

During My Apprenticeship Program – Year 1 (H3) School to Apprentice

  • Work part-time 5 mornings per week
  • Complete a minimum of 450 hours of On-the-Job Training (OJT)
  • Complete One Year of IECC Related Instruction (RI)
  • Complete HCPSS graduation requirements (Math and English)

Graduation

Apprenticeship Continues

Year 2

  • Attend Year 2 IECC Evening Classes
  • Full-time Employment with 2,000 hours of OJT

Year 3

  • Attend Year 3 IECC Evening Classes
  • Full-time Employment with 2,000 hours of OJT

IECC Graduation

Journeyworker

  • $41,500 – $71,000**
  • Low Voltage Technician Journeyworker
  • 6,000 hours of OJT completed
  • 144 hours of RI completed per year of the program
