HCPSS Seeks Citizen Members for Instruction Technology and Library Media Advisory Committee

October 19th, 2016

The Howard County Public School System invites citizens to take an active role in advising, supporting and advocating for continuous improvement of the HCPSS Instructional Technology and Library Media programs, which were designed to ensure that all Howard County students are equipped with information literacy skills, an essential component of lifelong learning.

The Instructional Technology and Library Media Advisory Committee will help establish short- and long-range goals for services, resources, safety and technology integration; help maintain a current collection policy and development plan; promote instructional technology and library media program activities and celebrations; and advocate for the instructional technology and library media program, encouraging community support and funding.

The committee’s first meeting is Thursday, November 3, from 7:30–8:30 a.m., in room B-60 of the HCPSS Applications and Research Lab, 10920 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City, Maryland 21042.

Future meeting dates are January 26, 2017 and April 27, 2017.

If interested in joining the Instructional Technology and Library Media Advisory Committee, contact Melissa Grabill, HCPSS Coordinator of Library Media, at melissa_grabill@hcpss.org or 410-313-7043, by Tuesday, November 1.
