HCPSS to Celebrate Thomas Viaduct Middle School Grand Opening

Howard County school system and county leaders will celebrate the grand opening of Thomas Viaduct Middle School (TVMS) with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 24 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The ceremony will be followed by tours of the new facility.

TVMS open its doors to students in grades 6-8 on Aug. 25. The school is a state-of-the-art facility featuring five science laboratories, outdoor learning areas and innovative academic programming to inspire creativity and participation from students. Its “green” design conserves energy and natural resources, and is eligible for US Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
