Free Student RTA Bus Passes for Start of 2022-2023 School Year

HCPSS again has partnered with Howard County Government and the Regional Transportation Agency of Central Maryland to provide free RTA bus access to students. This supports students who use public transportation to get to jobs and other services and destinations throughout the county. 
They are not intended to take the place of school buses for transport to school.

For the time being, students will not need passes to ride fare-free. Passes will be available in schools this October.

In addition to free passes for students, Howard County Executive Dr. Calvin Ball recently announced all passengers may ride at no cost for September and October. View his announcement in this Howard County Government YouTube video.
