← Back to overview

The English language proficiency assessment is administered to English learners (ELs) annually (ACCESS for ELLs). The ACCESS assessment measures a student’s English language proficiency in the areas of listening/speaking (oral), reading/writing (literacy), and comprehension. The table below represents the percentage of students making adequate progress towards attaining English language proficiency and the corresponding yearly targets. Targets are based on reducing the percentage of students not making progress in half by the year 2030.
