Advanced Placement (AP) Updates for 2021-2022

The Advanced Placement (AP) program will offer in-person AP exams between May 2-13, 2022. The College Board does not intend to offer virtual exams this year.

To take an AP exam, students must register for a College Board account and join their specific class in AP Classroom. (Individual AP teachers have distributed join codes to connect students with their AP courses in AP Classroom.) Students must be joined to their AP class in AP Classroom to register for an AP exam.

Exam decisions must be made by Nov. 15. The College Board will charge an additional $40 fee per exam for decision changes made after Nov. 15.

The exam fee is $96 per exam, or $15 for students who qualify for a fee waiver. Payment will be collected by schools from Jan. 24-Mar. 13.

Payment must be received by Mar. 13 for a student to take an exam in May.
