Winter Athletics Registration Opens; Season Scheduled to Run Dec. 7, 2020-Feb. 13, 2021

Update November 13, 2020: Athletics In-Person Conditioning Canceled; Winter Athletics Scheduled to Begin December 7, 2020

On October 26, the Maryland State Board of Education approved a start date of December 7, 2020, for high school athletics. As such, online registration for winter athletics is now open via HCPSS Connect. Directions can be found online. With the online registration, parents/guardians can complete required forms, download physicals and proof of residency, and more. For more information, please email your school’s Athletics and Activities manager.

Winter Sports Dates

• Friday, November 6: Online registration opens.
• Monday, November 16: CANCELED In-person conditioning is scheduled to begin. Details on the voluntary in-person conditioning program can be found online. AAMs or coaches will be in touch with student-athletes with details and to confirm that the current health environment allows for the start of in-person activities.
• Monday, December 7, 2020-Saturday, February 13, 2021: Winter Athletics Competition Season.

The health and safety of HCPSS students, student-athletes, families, coaches, staff and all stakeholders will continue to be top priority and drive all decision making. HCPSS will communicate additional details and updates on athletics as soon as they become available.
