HCPSS Students and Staff to Share Their Stories at StoryStrong Live, April 30, 2018

HCPSS staff and students will share personal narratives through live spoken word, visual storytelling, and recorded audio at StoryStrong Live, Monday, April 30 from 6:30–8 p.m., at Long Reach High School, 6101 Old Dobbin Lane in Columbia.
StoryStrong Live is the culmination of individual projects created by HCPSS teachers, staff and high school students that address common themes of diversity of ideas, diversity of backgrounds and experiences, and diversity of purpose and drive. StoryStrong projects can be viewed online.
The goals of StoryStrong Live include amplifying student and staff voice, unifying members of the HCPSS community, and building student communication and self-advocacy skills. StoryStrong Live strives to unify people to enact positive change and shift cultures by building an environment of sharing, empathy and cultural awareness in our communities and classrooms.
