Howard County School Health Council General Meeting, December 6

At the meeting, the HC-SHC will hear from HCPSS Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Kevin Gilbert, Nicole Berger of Moms Demand Action, and Karen Herren of Sandy Hook Promise.

The Howard County School Health Council (HC-SHC) is a state mandated advisory council led by community members and combining representatives from the school system, the Health Department, the PTA Council of Howard County, the Howard County Association of Student Councils, and other community groups. The Council reports to both the Superintendent of Schools and the County Health Officer.

General Council meetings are held every other month to review various health, safety and wellness policies and programs, make recommendations, and provide input.
