Each Friday, the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) publishes a calendar of Interim Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano’s public events planned for the following week. His intent is to increase access to information and activities related to education in Howard County public schools. Schedules are subject to change but may be used to plan media coverage for the upcoming week.

The Week Ahead: September 18–24, 2017

Monday, September 18
10 a.m. – Press conference to promote school readiness. Good Beginnings Child Care Center, 10473 Gorman Road, Laurel. Dr. Martirano and County Executive Allan Kittleman will introduce the new online early education tool.

Tuesday, September 19
4 p.m. – Board of Education regular meeting. Boardroom, Department of Education, 10910 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City. The evening session of the meeting will include a public hearing on the Proposed FY 2019 Capital Budget and FY 2020–2024 Capital Improvement Program.
