Board of Education to Hold Regular Meeting, June 22

June 6th, 2017

The Howard County Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, June 22, at 4 p.m., with an evening session beginning at 7:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Boardroom at the Department of Education, 10910 Clarksville Pike in Ellicott City.

The 2017 Feasibility Study will be presented during the evening session. The Feasibility Study is an annual review of long-term capital planning and school attendance area adjustment options. It informs planning, provides strategic information to the school system, and prepares for scheduled school attendance area adjustments.

Both the afternoon and the evening sessions of the Board meeting will begin with a Public Forum, when members of the public may address the Board on any topic other than those for which a formal public hearing process exists. To sign up to speak at Public Forum, contact the Board’s office at 410-313-7194. Advanced sign up is preferred.

Individuals who would like to request a sign language interpreter for any meeting of the Board of Education may contact Colleen Rice, interpreter scheduler, at 410-313-7046. A two-week advanced notice is preferred.
