Howard County School Year Extended One Day to June 14

Posted: March 17th, 2017

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) will extend its school year by one day to make up for the March 14 inclement weather closing. The last day of school for students will now be Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

The HCPSS 2017–2018 academic calendar identifies seven possible inclement weather make up days. One day must be used to make up for each inclement weather closing in order to meet the minimum 180 school days mandated by Maryland law. The last student day was originally planned for Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
