HCPSS Receives Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award

August 15th, 2016

The Howard County Public School System Purchasing Department has been recognized with the 2016 Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award. This is the second year in a row the school system has won this award.

The National Procurement Institute Inc. confers this annual award to recognize best practices in innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership in procurement function.

“I am so proud that, once again, the purchasing department has received such a prestigious honor,” said HCPSS Superintendent Renee A. Foose. “This award is a well-deserved recognition of the school system’s continued commitment to providing value and transparency.”

HCPSS is one of only eight agencies in Maryland and one of only 23 school districts in the United States and Canada to receive the award. HCPSS will receive recognition at the National Procurement Institute’s Annual Convention in October.
