HCPSS Superintendent Named One of “50 Women to Watch”

Ellicott City, Md.–HCPSS Superintendent Renee A. Foose was named by the Baltimore Sun as one of the area’s 50 Women to Watch. Dr. Foose, who has served as superintendent since 2012, joins an esteemed list of entrepreneurs, educators, elected officials, physicians and athletes shaping the identity of the Baltimore-Metropolitan region.

“I am honored to join such a distinguished list of community leaders and visionaries,” said Dr. Foose. “The women on this list are powerful advocates and achievers in their respective fields, and I am humbled to be considered as a peer among this extraordinary group.”

Dr. Foose is the first female superintendent to lead the system of more than 51,000 students and 8,000 employees. Foose was honored in August by The Daily Record as a Most Admired CEO, and more recently as a 2014 Innovator of the Year.
