Meal Plans
Two meal plans are available
to students during the 2010-2011 school year. The plans are a convenient, simple way to ensure a balanced, nutritious lunch
every day. Daily Payment is always available as well.
Option 1 - Annual Payment Plan (P1)
Parents can pay for their
child's lunch in a one-time payment for the entire school year.
The cost for the remaining days in the school year is as follow.

This program is available for purchase
throughout the entire school year and is transferable between
schools within the Howard County Public School System if a student
moves or transfers to a different school. A $10.00 cancellation
fee will be applied for withdrawals from the plan. The plan will
only begin on the first school day of each week. The weekly deadline
to enroll is each Wednesday by 4:30 p.m. in order to begin the
next week.
Option 2 - Installment
Payment Plan (P2)
Parents can pay for
their child's lunch through a monthly direct debit from a checking
or savings account. Payments will be withdrawn in nine (9) equal
dollar installment payments per the schedule below.
The calculation
for the Installment Amount is:
180 school days multiplied by the
price of the lunch per day equals the total due per school year
divided by nine (9) payments equals the amount per Installment.
Example (Elem.): 180 days x $2.50 per day = $450.00 Total Due
/ 9 payments = $50.00 per Installment.

Completed applications received by the
sign up deadline of each month will be processed and the withdrawal
and start date will be as indicated above. Applications received
after the sign up deadline of each month will be held and processed
the following month. If your bank rejects a withdrawal twice,
this plan will no longer be available for that student. This program
is transferable between schools within the Howard County Public
School System if a student moves or transfers to a different school.
The Installment Payment Plan automatically
continues each school year unless you send in written notification
to the Food and Nutrition Service Office to cancel or withdraw
from the plan.

For the Annual Payment Plan, we accept Visa,
Mastercard, Discover, money order, cash or personal check made out to Howard County
Public Schools Food and Nutrition Service. Do not send checks to schools.
