Free and Reduced Price Meals
The Howard County Public School System participates in the
National School Lunch Program/School Breakfast Program. Nutritious
meals are served every school day. Students may buy lunch and/or
breakfast at the prevailing price.
Students from households that meet federal income
guidelines are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. Those
eligible for reduced-price meals pay 40 cents for lunch and 30
cents for breakfast.
To apply for free or reduced-price meals, families should
complete the application sent home on the first day of school,
sign it, and return it to the school.
If a household income is at or below the level
on this scale, a student is eligible for either free or reduced-price
meals.
