Partnership Toolkit
The Howard County Public School
System has maintained an active educational partnership
program for more than 20 years. By strengthening and
enhancing the quality of education in Howard County,
partnerships help keep the school system among the best
in the nation and ensure that Howard County is an
attractive place to live.
Partnerships encompass a wide
range of organizations and activities. Business, civic,
non-profit, and faith organizations are working with
students, teachers, staff, and administrators in
activities such as tutoring, mentoring, job shadowing,
professional development, extra-curricular clubs, and
after-school programs. In addition, some partners supply
incentives, awards, materials, and financial resources.
